Lawyers for Children, an organization that offers free legal and social work advocacy to abused children, is one of the organizations in the running for Lady Gaga’s $1 Million grant.

Lady Gaga is working with the Robin Hood Foundation to aid the homeless youth of the Big Apple. “I’m thrilled to be working with the Robin Hood Foundation to distribute funds to help the youth of New York City,” Gaga said in a statement. “NYC is my hometown and I think investing in these kids’ future will go a long way.”

Lawyers for children provides quality legal representation to protect the rights of children who are victims of neglect and abuse, and to those in foster care and high conflict custody cases. The organization also aids LGBTQ youth with cases involving discrimination, placing youth in LGBTQ safe/friendly care and finding other supportive LGBTQ youth and adults.

The other organizations competing for the grant are SCO Family of Services, The Door, Safe Horizon and the Hetrick-Martin Institute.

Head to Lady Gaga’s Facebook page to vote and determine which organization will receive the two $500,000 grants. The last day to cast your vote is Friday! Vote here!
