Here's What We Know About Kristen Stewart's Bisexual Bodybuilder Movie

Kristen Stewart and Katy M. O'Brian star in the upcoming bisexual bodybuilder film Love Lies Bleeding, and it's already getting some wild reviews.

Distributed by A24, the production behind the Oscars' frontrunner Everything Everywhere All At Once, the film is described as “a romance fuelled by ego, desire and the American Dream.” It was written by Weronika Tofilska and Rose Glass, the director behind Saint Maud and Room 55.

According to World of Reel, O'Brian is an "aspiring bisexual bodybuilder in the late 1980s who moves to a small rural Nevada town from Oklahoma and falls madly in love with Kristen Stewart’s character who works at the local gym. In a twist of fate, K-Stew’s character is also her new boss’ daughter who introduces her to the world of steroids, and also gets mixed in with their family drama."

According to early movie-goers that attended a test screening in New York City, audience members had “visceral” reactions from the "gore, blood and puking throughout" the film. They described the movie as "Pain & Gain for indie lesbians" and revealed that it “has a strange ending that will make this a love-it-or-hate-it type of movie.”

Ed Harris, Jena Malone, and Dave Franco also star in the film, and were said to be "great."

It only filmed last year so we don't know too much else about the film. A24 hasn't given us a premiere date or even a trailer. We don't even know the characters' names. Love Lies Bleeding is also the name of a flower that is used to treat strangury and is applied externally to scrofulous sores.
