And it's got an inclusive music video to go along with it.

Demi Lovato is charging into her rock era, and she’s lashing out at anti-choice activists in the process.

The singer dropped a new song called “SWINE” on Thursday, in anticipation of the one-year anniversary of Roe v. Wade being overturned in the United States, ending federal protection for abortion access.

With opening lyrics declaring “God forbid I wanna s*ck whatever the f*ck I wanna / God forbid I wanna f*ck whoever the f*ck I want,” Lovato does not mince words or hold back their fury over conservative policing of bodies.

And the accompanying music video is just as intrepid, featuring a Salem witch trial aesthetic as she stands up against a tribunal of men, backed by an inclusive and predominantly queer-coded entourage.

“I created ‘SWINE’ to amplify the voices of those who advocate for choice and bodily autonomy,” they wrote on Instagram. “I want this song to empower not only the birthing people of this country, but everyone who stands up for equality, to embrace their agency and fight for a world where every person’s right to make decisions about their own body is honored.”

Earlier this month, Lovato released her original queer bop, “Cool for the Summer,” re-recorded as a rock version of the song just in time for Pride. “SWINE” gives fans more insight into what to expect from the singer moving forward, as she shifts away from her pop era into a musical aesthetic that’s as bold and outspoken as she is.
