Want a Prom Do-Over? BuzzFeed Is Throwing Another Queer Prom in New York City
Calling all LGBT-identifying high school or college students!
Prom can be a very nerve-wracking experience for members of LGBTQ community. Some of us aren’t officially out to the entire school yet. Maybe we're unsure of how the school’s administration and/or classmates will respond to going to prom with a person of the same gender. Or we may feel as if we can’t wear the attire we want to wear to express our true gender identities.
Well, now you have a chance to not worry about all of that. You have an opportunity to go to a prom surrounded by other queers!
Buzzfeed is bringing back its queer prom to high schoolers and college students. This time, it’s taking place in NYC. (Last year it took place in LA!)
In order to attend queer prom, you must be an LGBT-identified high schooler or college student and must be able to travel to Manhattan.
The prom takes place Friday, June 1, from 6 - 10 PM. Apply through this online form!
