2016 has been a great year for LGBT indie media.
Finding complex stories about LGBT characters isn’t always easy in popular media. Fortunately, web series provides a format that’s accessible for independent LGBT writers and directors, and when those LGBT writers and directors take their stories into their own hands, we get some great shows as a result. These new web series run the gamut. You’ll find a children’s show, a documentary series, and narratives about LGBT relationships, friendships, and life. Here are eight of the best LGBT web series from 2016.
