10 Films Featuring Black LGBT Characters You Need to See

This 2015 indie film by Sean Baker was shot entirely on an iPhone, and featured some of the best performances of the year from newcomers Mya Taylor and Kitana Kiki Rodriguez. The film follows two trans women sex workers (and thanks to input from the film’s stars manages to subvert a lot of tropes associated with that), as one tracks down the cis woman her boyfriend and pimp has been cheating with.
