Evolution of an Artist: L Word's Laurel Holloman Gives Up Acting for Painting (For Now)

Appearing calm and content, L Word and True Adventures of Two Girls in Love star Laurel Holloman tells a French news outlet that her full-time job now is painting, not acting.

Appearing calm and content, The L Word and The IncrediblyTrue Adventures of Two Girls in Love star Laurel Holloman tells a French news outlet that her full-time job now is painting, not acting.

Holloman discusses her solo art shows in Paris and how they came to be. She says painting--and raising her two daughters--is her career now and she spends between 40 and 50 hours a week in her Los Angeles studio.

"Paintings comes from my heart, my soul and L Word came from scripts and I was hired and I did my job and created a character," Holloman tells Yagg. "They couldn't be more separate... the passion I had to act has moved on to the passion I have to paint."

Luckily for us, Holloman doesn't completely rule out a return to acting. Maybe if there's a script strong enough, we can lure her back...
