Ashlee Simpson stans, your prayers for new music have been answered! US Weekly has, indeed, confirmed that the former princess of early-2000’s rock-pop is making a much anticipated return to music in 2017!
There is one slight catch, but hear us out. Simpson confirmed that a new album set for release sometime next year will be a joint-album with her husband Evan Ross. She described the sound as “soulful, fun, and reflective of the music that [we] both like." But alas there's more...

She went on to confirm that a solo album is in the not-so-distant future. “We’re doing this album together and then we’ll go off and do our own,” she said.
