She said what she said.

Lizzo’s new album is here, and with it, the latest great gay anthem to fill the rest of our summer.

“Everybody’s Gay” isn’t brand brand-new, as the “Juice” singer offered up a surprise live performance of it last month during Kornbread’s “Night of 1000 Lizzos” tribute show in West Hollywood.

After getting into her own drag persona during that night, Lizzo introduced the world to the song we’re now hyped to get to listen to in our own homes in its full studio recorded glory.

The upbeat song reads as an ode to feeling free to be yourself out at the club in the middle of the night, and it’s not hard to see how it will undoubtedly become a dance floor favorite.

“Tonight I wanna be nobody else / This costume feels so real, almost scared myself,” she sings. “Dance the night away (Keep your p*ssy poppin’, pop those percolates) / Everybody’s gay, yeah (It’s a happy place in here, baby, you’re safe).”

It’s the kind of song that maybe shouldn’t work, but it does. And maybe that’s just the magic of Lizzo! Either way, fans are already eating it up.

At Kornbread’s show, Lizzo described her new album, Special, as being about “living your best life, turning up, and dancing and just having some f*cking fun,” something we could all probably use right about now.

“I've been feeling so down, so depressed, and so stressed lately, I feel so much hate from the world sometimes,” she told the crowd at the time. “But, to come into this place and feel love from the LGBTQIA+ community — by the way, since day motherf*cking one, we've been walking together. It means so, so much to me.”

And if this song is how she shows her appreciation, then we are certainly the lucky ones!
