A video of a young gay man being violently disowned by his parents went viral a few weeks back. YouTubers Trent and Luke brought together other LGBT YouTubers to hear their thoughts. I do think it's incredibly important to note that while we can't turn away from horrific events like this young man endured, the LGBT community needs to start sharing more positive stories instead of only negative ones. Coming out is hard as it is. We need to amplify loving stories to boost self esteem.
