Lindsay Lohan was taken away in handcuffs today by sheriff's deputies after a judge revoked her probation during a half-hour hearing, reports People magazine.
Judge Stephanie Sautner informed Lohan that missing nine court-ordered appointments at the Downtown Women's Center, resulting in her termination from the Center is a violation of her probation. Sautner set bail at $100,000.
Lohan's attorney Shawn Holley argued it was premature to find the actress in violation, adding that the missed appointments were due to work commitments abroad.
Holley told the judge that Lohan's psychiatrist has given her a "glowing" report. "The report says Ms. Lohan has reached a turning point in her accountability and maturity," Holley argued in court.
Sautner replied, "Failing to show up nine times [to the shelter] is reaching a turning point in her maturity?"
If found in violation of her probation at the follow-up hearing on November 2, the bisexual actress could face yet another jail sentence.
