POSE star and activist Billy Porter, took political matters into his own hands early this morning,teaming up with queer TV network Logo to deliver his own LGBTQ-oriented State of the Union Address.

"While our rights are under threat and the sanctity of our identities is in peril, let me be clear, the state of our union is strong," said Porter in his address.

While touching on the major issues that most people in the queer community face, as well as including optimism for our future, Porter delivered a rousing set of words. And Porter's speech is especially poignant, considering this year is the 50th anniversary of New York City's Stonewall Riots—a major historic milestone in queer history.

While President Trump currently prepares to deliver his own formal State of the Union this evening (which we can already assume will be vastly underwhelming and exclude LGBTQ+ people), we are certainly thankful to Porter for giving us something to be proud of today!
