Recently out gay and proud former American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken got his bitch on in his blog slamming this year's second placer Adam Lambert, Perez Hilton reported.
"This year, I happened to turn it during the minute that Adam Lambert was singing "Ring of Fire" and, at that moment, thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening! I wasn't really a fan and found myself surprised whenever folks told me that they liked him," Aiken blogged.
Idol pundits have speculated wildly that the over-the-top Lambert, who's had pictures of him kissing men surface on the Web since Idol began, lost to the more conservative country boy Kris Allen based on homophobia.
Rather than stand by his speculated gay brethren, Aiken chose to go on at length about how Idol voters made the right choice in Allen, despite Lambert's vocal chops and popularity.
"Those votes for Kris were also votes to return the show to its roots of finding 'real' contestants with undiscovered talent and giving them the chance to grow and shine. They were votes that said 'we're tired of seeing contestants who already seem to know it all," Aiken wrote. He also wrote that Allen appeared more "likable" than Lambert - whose trademark often became his glammed out eyeliner and elaborate costumes.
