The melodic magic flowing in Nick Jonas' veins never runs out, does it? With the release of “Close” featuring Tove Lo, it’s safe to say Jonas officially adopted R&B as his style.

The artist released the single from his third studio album, Last Year Was Complicated, and we're already obsessed. “Close” is his first major release since last year’s “Levels,” and boy, was it worth the wait.

The videography is what twentysomethings (or Hillary Clinton) would call “hella dope.” They enact an interpretive dance routine in what seems like an abandoned warehouse, fitting the moves perfectly in line with the meaning behind the beats. “[It] is [a song] about how I literally can't open up and be vulnerable with someone,” as tweeted by Nick.

He went on to talk about the essence of the song, stating, "When I first started making I thought I knew what it would be about ... Then I had a breakup. It then became very clear what this thing would be about ... And that I would need to dig really deep."

"Shit is too real sometimes... reliving some of these real life experiences through this music is hard. But I know it's important that I do it. I want to be an open book in my art ... Every song is so personal and meaningful to me."

Nick posted the official artwork for this album on his twitter, and it is intense. Alongside was a link to pre-order the album before its release on June 10.
