Here's How You Can Work for the White House (No, Seriously)

The Presidential Appointments Initiative is looking specifically for LGBT people like you to help diversify the next administration.

This wild ride of a presidential election is almost over and that means thousands of federal and government jobs are about to open up come this January when President Obama leaves office. There are several ways to land a job in the new administration, but one especially notable way for LGBTQ people is through the Presidential Appointments Initiative (PAI) which was started by the Gay and Lesbian Victory Institute in 2007. The PAI acts as a sort of liaison between hiring reps and the LGBT community to help better represent us in the next administration.

It doesn't matter how much experience you have. PAI encourages people at all levels, so you could be a recent grad with very little on your resume, or you could be a long time professional who's been working for years. If you've ever yearned to work in public service or play a role beyond voting on November 8th, now's your chance.

All you have to do is upload your resume at PAI to get started and who knows—in a few months you might be marching around the White House quietly changing the world.
