Scotland's education system is stepping up to the pioneering plate as they prep to become the first country to include LGBT history as part of school curriculum.
Following articles of recommendation from TIE (Time for Inclusive Education Campaign), Scotland's ministers made the decision that LGBT history be elevated to a required subject for pupils - including awareness for homophobia and transphobia.
In a statement from Jordan Daly, co-founder of TIE, Daley was quoted saying, “This is a monumental victory for our campaign and a historic moment for our country.
"The implementation of LGBTI inclusive education across all state schools is a world first. In a time of global uncertainty, this sends a strong and clear message to LGBTI young people that they are valued here in Scotland.”
