Dressing for a summer day can be a complicated ordeal. Not as dramatic as Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron battling for survival in this summer’s ultimate adventure movie Mad Max. But, then again, not so different if you have days like mine where you're pumping out a quick morning workout, running off to work, taking little selfie moments with clients after I finish their haircuts, followed by a night out with my squad.

That’s the inspiration behind my first installment of THE Look. This week, THE Look is easy to transition throughout a full day, and simple yet dimensional and layered. It’s also interchangeable so you can swap 1 look into multiples.

NOTE: I stick to all black everything, because that's just me - but don't be afraid to spice it up with white or grey ;) ha. Now, let’s get the day started!

Morning Working Out

Crossfit in the am is how I like to start my day. The tights are a perfect way to protect your legs from deadlifts scraping your shins up. They are also dual purpose, incase bae is in class that day and you want to show him how those squats have been working for you.

Work

I rock the black shorts and a sleeveless Tee at the salon, because I like to keep it cool and comfortable when I'm on my feet all day busting out men's cuts. I leave a hoodie and tights packed in my bag for later!

Evening Out - THE Complete Look

Put on the complete look, have a selfie moment and you’re ready to meet up with your friends after work.  You’ll find me and my friends at Taco Tuesday, grabbing a late night ice cream treat at Cool Haus, or at our favorite diner sippin' on coffee and catchin' up about our days and our latest tinder matches.
