17-year-old trans model, Sonnis Love, is a beauty YouTuber living in Los Angeles. She was shocked earlier this week when she saw a gross transphobic post using her images circulating on Twitter.
“Fellas , you just found out she's transgender you still fucking ?”— realmofthedemons (@realmofthedemons) 1506054874
Love felt violated by the tweet. "I think it's very disrespectful," she told Buzzfeed News. "Thousands of trans women are murdered [in] scenarios like [the one depicted in the post] and for people to make a joke about it is very disgusting."
"I decided to stand up for myself," said Love, and she fired back at the troll with the perfect response.

Love's response has over 46,000 shares and 165,000 likes, much more than the original transphobic tweet, and many Twitter users backed up Love in the comments.
“@sonnislove @MADBLACKTHOT Yes, shut him DOWN, madam!!!!”— whew chil-ay (@whew chil-ay) 1506134715
Love appreciated the online support. "I felt that it was very degrading, being that I was publicly humiliated in a sexual manner," she explained. "Though I still received negative comments, I also gained a lot of love and support from people around the world, which I really appreciate."
Unbothered by the drama, Love wants to continue being herself unapologetically. "I don't mind being the target of discrimination as long as I'm inspiring others to be themselves and educating the world."She added, "We aren't a burden, we don't mean any harm, we just want acceptance and to be respected just like everyone else."
