Callie and Arizona are so funny in the clip, even if Shonda Rhimes' says they have a 50/50 chance of making it as a couple.

The Grey’s Anatomy season premiere is this Thursday, and yes, after 11 seasons, we are still watching, and we can’t wait to see what our favorite adorable lady doc couple gets up to this season. The back half of season 10 saw a smoother ride than usual for Callie and Arizona, who’ve endured just about every disaster known to humanity. But creator of all things Grey’s (along with an entire empire), Shonda Rhimes, has intimated that Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) have about a 50% survival rate as a couple this season.

Here’s what Shonda had to say to Entertainment Weekly:

“I’ll be honest with you and say that there is literally a 50/50 chance that they’ll be together or apart, and I have not figured it out yet. That is the other big storyline of the season for us. We really spent a lot of time in the writers’ room mapping it out and talking about it. There are two parallel relationships: Meredith and Derek’s relationship and Callie and Arizona’s relationship. Meredith’s journey and Callie’s journey are two big journeys that we really want to look at this season as we’re telling these stories.”

All we can say to that is, “ugh.” We know it’s television but can’t Callie and Arizona please be the Ross and Rachel of Grey’s?

That said, there’s a sneak peak out for the season premiere and Callie and Arizona are hilarious in it. They are doctors, so we doubt they’d be as appalled as they seem in the following clip, but Sara and Jessica are so funny. We’ll take it!
