Evan Rachel Wood Wore her custom-designed suit with a purpose!
Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood certainly represented queer women in a big way at the Golden Globes on Sunday. Evan, who is bisexual, was nominated for her role as Dolores, a lifelike cyborg, in HBO’s dystopian thriller. She lost to Claire Foy of The Crown, but she’s always a winner to us. And she certainly won with her custom-designed suit that she told E’s Ryan Seacrest was intended as an homage to Marlene Dietrich, Victor/Victoria, and David Bowie. But more than that, she expressed that she wore a suit to encourage girls to be who they are. Evan explained that she’d been to the Globes six times (nominated three) and had previously worn only dresses. She made a deliberate choice to wear a suit this time. "I want every girl to know she can wear a suit," Evan told E. "I'm not trying to protest dresses, but I want young girls and women to know that they aren't a requirement. Just be yourself because your worth is more than that."
