Buffy fans rejoice! There’s a reunion of sorts about to happen on the Sarah Michelle Gellar starrer Ringer when Buffy the Vampire Slayer alumna Amber Benson guest stars on the CW’s freshmen thriller, reports TV Guide.
Benson will appear on the 10th episode of Ringer as Mary Curtis, a stripper and an informant for the character Agent Machado.
For those who are fluent in Buffy speak no explanation is necessary about what a big freaking deal Benson’s guesting on Ringer is, but for the uninitiated, Benson famously played the adorable witch Tara Maclay, who was Buffy’s BFF Willow’s (Alyson Hannigan) ultimate love interest.
Benson will appear on the 10th episode of Ringer as Mary Curtis, a stripper and an informant for the character Agent Machado.
Following Tara’s untimely demise on Buffy – she took a bullet for Buffy, sending fans into a tailspin – Benson went on to costar in several LGBT-themed films including Latter Days, Kiss the Bride, Race You to the Bottom and in the short Girltrash.
There’s no word yet on whether Benson’s Ringer character will get more than a single-episode arc but Joss Whedon / Buffy fans can hope!
