NBC’s Smash is a terrific blend of that old Broadway “lets put on a show” sensibility and hot talent that stars American Idol runner-up Katherine McPhee as the fresh-faced newcomer poised to topple the Broadway vet, played by Megan Hilty (Wicked, 9 to 5: The Musical) who are vying for the starring role in Marilyn: The Musical.

The show also stars Will and Grace alumna Debra Messing and Angelica Huston.

Smash premieres Feb. 6, on NBC.

Here are McPhee, Messing, Huston, Hilty and Uma Thurman, who has a several-episode arc, at the Manhattan's Metropolitan Museum of Art's premiere of the show.
