Boys Don’t Cry and Big Love’s Chloe Sevigny is joining the second season of the FX hit horror drama American Horror Story, in a role that was specifically written with her in mind, according to EW.com.
The compelling actress is reportedly set to play Jessica Lange’s arch enemy in this season’s story arc, which show runner Ryan Murphy confirmed will be set in an “institution for the criminally insane on the east coast.” Camptastic!!
Lange’s character is in charge of the institution, and Sevigny’s character -- a nymphomaniac named Shelley--is set to make Lange’s life as painful as possible.
Lange is one of the only five returning actors from the hit horror show’s first season (Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, and Zachary Quinto), and other casting news includes The Voice and Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine. Production on the show will begin this summer.
