It turns out all of the girls were fairly industrious over the summer with Spence taking a full load of college courses, Aria diving into photography, Hanna brushing up on her cooking skills and Emily building houses for the needy. From the looks of it, despite Emily’s philanthropic summer, she’s still reeling in pain from her first love Maya’s death (the season 2 cliffhanger), and she’s attempting to numb it by dipping into the sauce a little too much.
