SPOILER ALERT!!!
Last night’s Valentine’s Day episode of Glee entitled “I Do” was supposed to be the long awaited wedding day of teachers Will (Matthew Morrison) and Emma (Jayma Mays), but as the episode progresses it becomes less about their nuptials and more about drunken random hookups and the long awaited reunions of some of the Gleeks’ favorite couples from McKinley High.
Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) in the backseat of a car.
Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith) in a hotel room.
Quinn (Dianna Agron)and Santana (Naya Rivera)?!?! Wait a minute, what??
Yes, it did happen folks. McKinley’s hottest Cheerios did the deed……twice. Hooking up post reception, which happened even though the groom (Will) was left at the altar. Poor Will!
It all started with Quinn and Santana knocking them back at the bar.
Quinn airing her disappointment about men in general and Santana still reeling from the Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Brittany (Heather Morris) union.
And as the night progresses, the ladies start to bond, even sharing a slow dance to Bob Seger’s “We’ve Got Tonight.”
Then it happens, and Quinn is clearly happy considering her amazing O-face.
But sadly, based on their exchange afterwards, this hook up might only be for one or two episodes. Quinn was clearly experimenting (for now, maybe?), and Santana was lonely, just trying to work off some hostility towards Brittany.
Quinn: So that’s why college girls experiment
Santana: And thank God they do!
Quinn: It was fun, I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be with a woman, but I don’t know, for me I think it was more of a one-time thing.
Santana: Look, you don’t have to worry, I’m not going to show up at your house with a U-Haul
Quinn: So what happens next?
Santana: Well you can walk out first, or we can make it a two-time thing?
And they do!
The best quotes of the night belong to Santana, the first being “I am clearly the hottest bitch in this lousy joint, but I’m stuck here sitting with you.” Gotta love her!
The episode was the most sexually charged of season 4, if not the entire series. It was less about the music and more about the hook ups. However, New Directions' version of Ellie Goulding’s hit “Anything Could Happen” capped off the evening, and it could be the best use of a song by the show to date. Because anything did happen last night.
Other plusses of the episode include Will and Emma singing "Not Getting Married (Today)" from Sondheim's Company, and The Glee Project's Ali Stroker (who just happens to be dating the adorable Dani Shay) as Emma's niece, who happens to hook-up with Artie.
