Oscar nominee Amy Adams has landed the coveted role of Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman reboot from Warner brothers & Legendary pictures, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Adams gets on board with Henry Cavill as Superman / Clark Kent and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner, who star as his parents. Sucker Punch creator Zack Snyder is set to direct the reimagining of the superhero. Adams has some big reporter's shoes to fill as Margot Kidder famously starred as Lois in the 1978 Christopher Reeve Superman.
A three-time Academy Award nominee, Adams landed a nod for best supporting actress in 2010 for The Fighter, Doubt in 2008 and in 2005’s Junebug. She made her debut in the darkly funny Drop Dead Gorgeous in 1999.
Also, look for Adams in her upcoming project, a remake of The Muppets starring Jason Segel. James Bobin will direct the movie that also stars Emily Blunt and Zach Galifianakis. The Muppets hits the big screen on Nov. 23, 2011, The Muppet Central news reports.
