Inside the auditorium, Drew Barrymore received a standing ovation for her work while being honored with the Vanguard Award.  She stated, "I'm humbled to be a member of the gay and lesbian community".  Elke Kennedy also received a standing ovation.  The cast of "Glee" was honored and Jane Lynch helped accept the award.  Chaz Bono took the stage to what appeared to be an accepting and honored crowd. Constance McMillen presented the Stephen F. Kolpzak Award to Wanda Sykes following Tom Ford's "A Single Man" win in the Outstanding Film Wide Release category.  "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert performed and fans were not left disappointed!  Overall, it was a fantastic evening to be gay.  As my hero Bette Midler would say - the GLAAD Media Awards were FABULOUS!
