Rocker with the big voice and out and proud lesbian Beverly McClellan, singing a stirring rendition of The Who’s “Baba O’Reilly,”  advanced a round Tuesday as part of Christina Aguilera’s team on the refreshing new reality sing-down show The Voice.

McClellan faced off in a sing-down with teammate Justin Grennan, who put up a good fight. But when all was said and done Beverly moved on while Justin got sent packing.

Rival coach Cee Lo Green said of Beverly’s performance, “You stole it, you owned it and then you sold it!”

In the end the decision fell to Christina and after giving Justin his due she simply said, “I have to go with Beverly.”

Last week another openly lesbian singer with big pipes, Vicci Martinez, blew the doors off the place in a showdown singing P!nk’s “Perfect” and advanced to the next round. So in one season of The Voice that makes two out lesbians who’ve made it to final rounds while American Idol hasn’t had a single out finalist during its umpteen seasons.
