Does Vicci Martinez Have 'The Voice'?

Vicci Martinez, 26, of Tacoma Washington belted out Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” for the judges on The Voice Tuesday night.

Before she performed, Martinez shared her story about coming out at 16 to her religious parents and how she lost her father five years ago. The emotion in her performance was palpable, leaving quite an impression on a couple of the judges.

“I saw you reach down so deep and get that note out,” Cee Lo said. “You inspire me and you touch my heart.”

Christina Aguilera also liked what she heard, “I found you very interesting and your voice has a great rasp to it.” Although Martinez considers Aguilera to be a goddess, it was Cee Lo’s tender words that sold Martinez. 

There’s nothing like a little lezzie with a sultry voice to get a new series going. You’ve got a fan in me, Martinez!
