The Queen has decided to add fashion designer to her résumé with her new clothing line, reports People.
Queen Latifah will be launching the Queen Collection, a clothing and accessories line designed for sizes 2-24.
The Cover Girl is very optimistic about the launch of this versatile line. “I’m so excited about it,” Latifah told People. “This is something I have wanted to do for a long time. [I] actually started [a clothing line] that didn’t quite get off the ground but this is like a full circle for me.”
What’s Latifah’s favorite part of her upcoming collection, you ask? The leather handbags! Who would’ve thunk it? Not I, says this writer.
“I have a bag fetish,” she explains. “I’ll have on sweatpants and a $3000 purse. I don’t deny myself, bags are the one thing I’ll allow myself to splurge on.”
Latifah’s Queen Collection will be available on HSN and HSN.com beginning August 27.
