Lindsay Lohan offered $1 Million for First Post-Jail Interview

Well, the question of how Lindsay Lohan would be making money after her stint in lock-up and rehab has been answered. The actress, who has been having trouble with her acting career since 2007, is set to make a cool million bucks for her first post-jail interview.

OK! Magazine is the publication that has offered Lohan the big bucks, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Lohan has not yet agreed to the deal, as she is still at UCLA Medical Center for rehab (although is reported to likely be released prior to her full 90-sentence). Which means that she could be cashing that check much sooner than previously expected.

Lohan isn’t the first star to be offered a massive payoff after personal scandal. Paris Hilton was supposedly offered as much as $1 million by NBC for her own post-jail interview, but the deal went down the drain and she appeared on Larry King Live, reportedly for free.

Whichever media outlet that does eventually get the Lohan interview will definitely have to put up serious cash, since her acting opportunities seem to be getting few and far between. She was fired from The Other Side last April, with David Michaels, the film’s director, saying “producers of the movie have reported that financiers have been resistant to finance the movie with Lindsay in the lead role.” He also said that Lohan was “not bankable.”

Lohan does have a small role in Machete, but it is still not certain that she will be able to promote the film. The filmmakers behind Inferno, the biopic about 1970’s porn star Linda Lovelace in which Lohan is slated to star, are still confident about their choice. However, the indie film won’t deliver much of a payday for Lohan.

THR reports that the actress could land appearance fees in LA and NYC between $25,000 and $100,000. But there is still the question of her ability to make professional and personal adjustments to steer clear of legal issues in the future, especially as she reenters the media spotlight so quickly after jail and rehab.

Howard Bragman, the founder of publicity firm Fifteen Minutes told MTV News, “She can take this and she can learn from it and it becomes a cathartic event in her life.” He continued with “The one thing we haven’t heard from Lindsay is ‘I’m sorry, I have a problem, I’m going to resolve it.’ She doesn’t have PR problems, she has life problems. You can’t fix your problems until you admit you have them. I think she needs a lot of therapy. She needs to let her career be second and her life be first.”
