He insists it was his own decision, and not due to sponsors pulling out.

Beauty vlogger/influencer James Charles has canceled his tour amidst the ongoing (but supposedly now over) drama with fellow YouTuber Tati Westbrook.

In case you were fortunate enough to miss out on the back and forth that’s been going on between the two, Tati got upset when James promoted a competitor’s product over hers, and subsequently made a video calling him out for a variety of things, including trying to seduce straight men.

James quickly lost millions of subscribers, despite immediately responding with a public apology video to Tati. Other influencers jumped into the fray, taking one side or the other,Tati ultimately said she was taking a break from YouTube and didn’t want to deal with any more drama, and James posted a video of “receipts” as to why he felt a lot of the things Tati said about him were lies or misrepresentations.

It was all pretty exhausting, even if you thrive on the dramz.

But things ramped up again on Friday when James posted a video to Instagram canceling his 25-city tour, saying that his mental health was not in good shape due to the feud. He also claimed the drama was directly responsible for him falling behind schedule in regards to preparing everything for his tour.

“The main reason why I’m deciding to pull the plug on the tour is because the next few weeks and months, I said that I wanted to take time for myself and for the people that love me and focus on things that make me really, really happy,” he said.

James said that all the venues were understanding and would be issuing refunds to fans automatically, but that he still hoped to go on tour in the near future.

However, he clearly really wanted to get out ahead of any rumors that sponsors or venues had pulled out due to the drama.

“The Sisters Tour is not being canceled because I was ‘canceled,’” he said. “Let’s make that clear. I made the decision for a lot of different personal reasons.”

Whether or not we should take him at face value remains to be seen, but somehow we doubt this is the end of the James Charles drama.
