Hilarious Video 'Explaining' Straight Pride Goes Viral
It's going to be so much fun.
The Straight Pride Parade continues to be the horrible gift that keeps giving.
ICYMI, some dudes in Boston were like, hey, allowing for an LGBTQ Pride Parade and not a Straight Pride Parade is discrimination, give us our permit so we can celebrate. And Boston was like, well we can't deny you, so get your shit together and you can have a Straight Pride Parade to celebrate your uniqueness and all the things you’ve overcome. And the world was like, huh?
The reactions alone have made it almost worth putting up with the idiocy that is this whole Straight Pride Parade nonsense, and now we’ve got a new one to add to the ever-growing pile.
Brooklyn-based comedian Eva Victor posted a video after the parade was announced, “explaining to her boyfriend” why straight pride is so important, and why she just HAS to attend the parade.
“We have 364 days a year where we have unbelievable, unspoken privilege, and then we have one day a year, one day, where we get to celebrate having that privilege all year round,” she says. “What doesn’t make sense to you?”

Nearly in tears, she continues: “I was born. And I was like, okay, I feel different from absolutely nobody.”
Her hilarious vid will undoubtedly go down in Straight Pride Parade history, joining the slew of tweets “celebrating” Straight Pride and the stark condemnations of the ridiculous event by celebrities and brands alike.
After all, history is written by the victors, and the straights lost just by opting to participate. And then they chose Milo Yisthishappening as their mascot after Brad Pitt told them to get lost, so they like, doubled down on losing.
Who knew you could lose a parade? Maybe they do have something unique worth celebrating after all.
