A Gallup report surveyed over 15,000 adults and reveals about 5.6 percent of them identify as LGBT, a significant difference from 16.6 percent of 18 to 23-year-olds that identify in one of those categories.
While this is proof the world is changing, the wording of the headline has inspired some hilarious reactions.
"Why is this written like a threat," a now-viral tweet from @LilySimpson1312 reads.

Despite the jokes, the article is pretty insightful. Researchers interviewed LGBTQ+ folks, discuss the "silent majority" of the community (bisexuals), and how the internet is educating people on the possibilities of these identities.
"The rigid lines around gender and sexuality are just opening up for everybody," said psychology professor Phillip Hammack. "Young people are just doing it. They’re leading this revolution, and they’re forcing scientists to take a closer look."
