She spent the summer performing her one (wo)man show The Girl From Oz in Provincetown. And no, it was not about the Oz you think. Being from down unda, Ms. Act. was referencing her motherland of Australia.
In her show, she sang a number of songs either written or sung by Australians. One of those numbers was Stayin’ Alive. (The Bee Gees are Australian for all of you who didn’t know.)
But this ain’t any Stayin’ Alive. Courtney slowed it down, creating a sultry, soulful, and evocative masterpiece.
