After having multiple conversations with my gay guy friends on a recent trip to Santa Barbara, it is clear that they are a bit, in the dark, shall we say, when it comes to female anatomy.  One guy described an incident in which he almost went down on a girl in college but freaked out because of...well, that story can stop there.  Case in point, gay guys think vaginas are as confusing and intimidating as straight men do, but with the added factor of never having to really see one in person.  But they are fantastic artists!

With that in mind, when writer Shannon O'Malley (a lesbian) was having dinner with her gay friend at a Thai place in San Francisco, the topic quickly shifted to vaginas and she asked him to sketch one on a cocktail napkin.  The result was hilarious and that night the two of them schemed up an idea for a fantastic project.  They have spent the last three years collecting vagina drawings from gay men of all stripes and are now launching a Kickstarter to get the funds necessary to publish the first 1,000 copies of this sure-to-be-a-hit coffee table book.
