Coachella kicked off with a slay.

Though LGBTQ+ folks' relationship with Coachella is more complicated than it seems, the queers certainly showed out at weekend one of the California festival with iconic sets, pride flags, hilarious billboards, and history-making moments.
Check out our favorite – and gayest – moments of the weekend below!
9. Maneskin covered "Womanizer" by Britney Spears

Isaiah Rashad addressed alleged leaked sex tape

After being outed by videos of him engaging in sex with men (that were seemingly released without his consent), Rashad has remained silent on social media – until his Coachella set on Saturday. He opened the set with a montage of news stories and photographs of him. “When his video leaked, his streams and whatever went up. He’s up on the charts now,” a voice said with other snippets of conversation mentioning how “going another way” besides straight isn’t a big deal, and someone adding, “I’m glad that he can finally be himself.”
Rashad later took a moment to thank fans for all the messages of support, saying that that's what “kept me alive these last couple months.”
5. Omar Apollo did it for the gays

Fans entering Coachella Valley spotted his "Heterosexuality Can Be Cured" billboard, and his set did not disappoint. "Where the f*ck are my homosexuals at," Apollo asked the crowd before launching into his song, "Killing Me."
2. Rebecca Black set features Big Freedia, Slayyyter, Violet Chachki, VINCINT, & more!
