She’s back!
Kim Petras ended 2022 with a no. 1 at the Billboard Hot 100 with her hit collaboration with Sam Smith, “Unholy.” She was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the same song. She subsequently released a new solo single, “If Jesus Was a Rockstar,” produced by none other than Max Martin.
Now, Petras is kicking off 2023 with a brand-new song, “brrr,” produced by ILYA. Unsurprisingly, this “industrial, beat-heavy, bad b*tch anthem” is already gaining traction on social media.

The official press release for Petras’ new song reads, “‘brrr’ shivers with glacial synths and crystal-clear vocals and is about knowing what you want and finding someone who isn’t intimidated by you that will come closer and show you how cool they are.”
Besides her Grammy nomination, Petras is also nominated for Best Collaboration at the 2023 iHeart Radio Music Awards and for Outstanding Music Artist at the 2023 GLAAD Media Awards.
Needless to say, we’re listening to “brrr” on repeat right now.
