We knew the gay pop star’s new album was going to be hot when he teased the song “One of Your Girls” earlier this week with a video clip that featured a shirtless Ross Lynch (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), but we had no idea just how hot.
After months of anticipation, Sivan’s third studio album Something to Give Each Other dropped on Friday along with a full length music video of “One of Your Girls,” that includes not only Lynch, but the “Angel Baby” singer in drag. The video starts off in black and white with Lynch tucking his hands into his unbuttoned jeans before cutting to Sivan looking soulfully into the camera while singing, “Look at you/Skip the application, interview/Sweet like Marabou.”
The video shows other beautiful men in various states of undress, before we see an almost unrecognizable Sivan in drag. The 28-year-old Australian singer is transformed into a gorgeous leggy blonde wearing a skin-tight white dress and knee-high boots and later black lingerie.
Sivan then seductively dances around Lynch before straddling him and giving him a lap dance—we told you it was hot!
Despite the sexy video, the chorus of the song is heartbreaking. “Say what you want, and I’ll keep it a secret/You get the key to my heart, and I need it/Give me a call if you ever get desperate/I’ll be like one of your girls,” Sivan sings.
In an interview with The Guardian this week, Sivan explained that “One of Your Girls” was written about “experiences that I had with guys who had not previously been with guys, and were showing me interest.”
The singer-songwriter, who came out back in 2013, admitted to allowing himself to “be the secret'' in the past. “It probably comes from childhood [feelings] of not feeling like enough, and then seeing these guys that I’m like, ‘I don’t know if I want to be you or be with you, but I’m completely ‘hearteyes’ for you’ … I found that a lot of the time after these experiences, I’d be kind of selling myself short or allowing myself to be the secret. It’s a bit self-deprecating,” he said.
This is not Sivan’s first sexy music video. Earlier this year, to promote his new 10-track LP, he released the singles “Rush” and “Got Me Started,” both of which have videos so hot you’ll want to watch them on repeat.
