This Antigay Pastor Tried to Ruin Christmas for Texas Kids

This holiday season, Amarillo's own evangelical f*ckboy-pastor David Grisham of the Repent Amarillo "church" (which is arguably missing a comma) and Last Frontier Evangelism wants your children to cry—for Jesus.

At the Westgate Mall in Amarillo, Texas, Grisham went on a Christmas tirade in front of children and their parents waiting in line to meet Kris Kringle, looking to inform them that Santa is a lie. Lucky for us, he recorded the whole thing.

While a couple of kids might have had their holiday (and subsquent holidays) ruined by Grisham, something good did come out of this: my next Etsy project.

To boot, Grisham was behind the riveting 2011 campaign Boycott Houston, which responded to the election of Annise Parker, Houston's former mayor and the first openly homosexual mayor of any major U.S. city. The campaign's old website didn't keep its hosting rights, however, and boycotthouston.com now offers advice on how to navigate the intricate world of "live cam sex on the Internet," and, just a scroll further, some pleasant, nonsensical "Gay-Lesbian Love Lyrics."

Later in 2011, Grisham would run for mayor himself and receive less than 1 percent of the vote in the Amarillo election. Absolutely no one was surprised.
