If you're not already familiar with French electro-pop band Hyphen Hyphen get ready to fall in love. You're not going to want to miss them as they embark on their first-ever North American tour.

The group's third album C'est la Vie came out earlier this year, and is their most personal yet, according to members Santa, Adam, and Line. Santa describes the band's music as a "huge bowl of energy," combining electronic and pop-rock, with the newest project bringing upbeat vibes to emotional subjects.

"Everybody is at the heart of everything we do," Santa says. "And we really want to craft very personal songs so the audience can fully understand what we sing and connect with their emotions."

To Adam, the group's first internationally released album was the chance to "really use all our flaws to turn them into lights." He says they wanted their audience to take away the message that "you're not alone."

"This is what's happening when you listen to our music — wanting you to know that you're not alone, and we are here with you," he says.

This message especially rings true to the band's LGBTQ+ fans across the globe. As a self-described queer group, Line shares that they write their music "in a way where we want to include everyone." The album's title C'est la Vie is itself a tribute to the community, translating to "such is life," which Santa says is the band's motto.

"We really want to embrace our clothes, but also to bring people together and feel free to to express who they are and not feel guilty and not to be ashamed of themselves," she says.

As they continue their touring, the group aims to inspire queer people not just in Europe, but all around the world.

"Our LGBTQ+ fans are a key for success, they are the strongest support, especially in [North America]," Santa continues. "We came because they asked. We couldn't be more proud of being a part of a such lovely and helpful community."
