In case you missed Taylor Swift’s 2015 VMA acceptance speech for her Video of the Year win, it went a little something like this:
She says “I’m happy that in 2015, we live in a world where boys can play princesses and girls can play soldiers.” Well Taylor Swift, we think you just predicted the future because Disney recently allowed just that: boys to play princesses and girls to play soldiers.
Following the lead of Target (who also recently withdrew gender labels on toys), Disney has removed all labels from their costume section replacing "boys" and "girls" with simply "kids." THIS IS TOO ADORABLE.
Congrats Disney!
