Television continues to try to ruin everyone’s memories of childhood with endless remakes and reboots, and while we were not having the time of our life thinking about ABC’s Dirty Dancing remake, the announcement that chiseled underwear model and Broadway performer Colton Prattes has joined the cast as the male lead Johnny Castle (played, of course, by Patrick Swayze in the ‘80s classic) has given us a reason to watch.
Last year it was announced that Scream Queens’ Abigail Breslin would step into Jennifer Grey’s dancing shoes as Baby, and that gay icon Debra Messing would play her mother, which wasn’t quite enough of a draw to replace our happy memories of the original with a TV version. But with the addition of Colton, we’ll definitely tune in.
You may recognize Colton as the guy who goes toe-to-toe with P!nk in her amazing “Try” video, but we thought we’d help you get to know him better through his Instagram account!
