While Rupert Murdoch is abroad, Jane Lynch stepped in as acting CEO of News Corporation at the D9 convention Tuesday, and got right to business.
In her welcoming speech to all the “techies,” Lynch addressed the necessary changes she would be enacting as head honcho beginning with the iPad-only publication The Daily.
“The Daily? Never head of it,” she says. “Never seen it. So, clearly, I’ll be shutting that down.”
She goes on to announce she will be adding a comics page to the TheWall Street Journal because, “…who doesn’t like to start their day with a good laugh and a "Cathy" comic?”
On a more serious note, however, Lynch discloses that she will be launching an investigation on the cast of Glee.
“I have some inside information, and I don’t believe one of them are real Americans,” she joked.
She went on to speak about “real Americans” Glen Beck and Sarah Palin.
