An empowering anthem for the forgotten, the song touches every topic from religion and politics to homosexuality and police violence. "What about love?" P!nk belts. "What about trust? What about us?"

The outspoken LGBT ally has been known to tell stories with choreography, and this time she gives the focus to a gay couple. The two men fight, plead, embrace and struggle with their relationship as a helicopter searchlight hovers overhead.

The powerful music video is a timely and incredible addition to P!nk's catalogue of hits. P!nk is receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at MTV Video Music Awards on August 27th. The award has previously gone to Rihanna, Kanye West, Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears.

'What About Us' is the lead single on P!nk's latest album Beautiful Drama out on October 13th. Watch the music video below.
