Dance 'Til Halloween with Kim Petras' Spooky New EP TURN OFF THE LIGHT, VOL. 1

Pop star Kim Petras is here to make your dance your heart out this Halloween (at least before she devours it).
Dropping at midnight last night, Petras' surprise EP, TURN OFF THE LIGHT, VOL. 1 is silky, synthy, and downright spooky. With tracks like "TRANSylvania," "Tell Me It's a Nightmare," and "Boo! Bitch," Petras isn't afraid to let that monster out over a pounding techno beat. She even has an Elvira feature!
This is a darker and sexier step forward for Petras, whose previous work has been a very glossy kind of bubblegum pop that took Spotify's viral charts by storm. She told Out Magazine she gathered inspirations for this EP from Michael Jackson's Thriller, Britney Spear's Blackout, Jamie Lee Curtis' Halloween, "Moster Mash," Freddie Mercury, and more.
"I love all kinds of music and I have different sides to me," she explained. "And I just feel like this is the way that I'm showing people that I'm not just extremely sugary, even though it has it's really sugary moments."
