Hayley Kiyoko is back and she’s bringing us new music!
The “Girls Like Girls” singer dropped a snippet of a song for the summertime to her socials on Thursday, using a short video of her vibing to the beat.
“It’s gonna be may and it’s gonna be gay,” she wrote.

The song itself is the kind of chill, dance-worthy bop fans of Lesbian Jesus know and love, with queer lyrics proclaiming, “Summer’s for the girls / The girls that like girls / The girls that like boys / The girls, the girls, the girls.”
According to TikTok, the song is aptly titled “For the Girls,” and is scheduled to drop on May 20 — a painfully long wait now that we’ve gotten the tease, to be honest.
This will be the first song the queer pop star has released in 2022, previously collaborating with Fletcher on “Cherry,” which came out towards the end of last year.
