A lot of queer artists have released music this week, from hot new singles to their latest studio albums. Namely, Omar Apollo has finally dropped his debut studio album Ivory (Marfil), which includes tracks such as “Invincible” featuring Daniel Caesar, “Go Away,” “Bad Life,” “Killing Me,” and the latest single, “Pretty Boy.” Moreover, Brazilian drag queen Aretuza Lovi dropped part one of her new album this week, Borogodó, with songs like “Swing Louco,” “Baião de Dois,” “Denguinho,” and “Drama.”
The gays went wild last week over Carly Rae Jepsen’s triumphant return with the summertime bop “Beach House.” This week, Jepsen released the colorful and fun music video for the new single featuring plenty of LGBTQ+ representation. Speaking of LGBTQ+ musicians and allies, fans are looking forward to upcoming albums like Panic! At The Disco’s Viva Las Vengeance, Demi Lovato’s Holy Fvck, and Madonna’s Finally Enough Love compilation.
For the time being, LGBTQ+ music fans keep listening to Beyoncé’s latest albums – particularly after she dropped a teaser for Renaissance-era visuals. Unlike her two most recent albums, 2013’s Beyoncé and 2016’s Lemonade, there haven’t yet been any visuals for Renaissance so far. Now, fans are hopeful that this teaser means that brand-new music videos from Queen Bey are coming soon.
Scroll through to check out the best new releases in music this week from LGBTQ+ artists and allies.
