Stefani Germanotta was always that girl.

Lady Gaga went full club kid era nostalgia on TikTok and her fans are eating it up.

The Chromatica singer couldn’t resist getting in on the ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ trend on the social media platform. “I had to,” she wrote in the caption.

The video begins with Gaga walking through a bathroom, lip-syncing to Wheatus’ song in a gray crop top and jeans while sporting her current bleached hair and brows. It then cuts to a series of throwback pics of Gaga looking very different. The images were taken during her club kid days in New York back before her album The Fame was released and she skyrocketed to stardom. In the photos, the singer is still rocking dark hair and some wild looks — well, at least some things haven’t changed.

Gaga was enjoying getting back in touch with her roots. ”Just Stefani….” she wrote in the comments, referencing her birth name. And she wasn’t the only one who appreciated the video. Fans were cheering in the comments, saying she won the trend.

“Born this slay! I LOVE YOU,” wrote TikTok user The Zoe Roe Show. “Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique,” wrote user angel muiri. “Stefani era was so underrated,” added subsandwichandbreadable.

Wheatusofficial also chimed in when they saw the video. “SOS. Lady Gaga shattered us into a million pieces. We will never recover from this. Who knew there was such a thing as too much happy?” they wrote in the comments.

Wheatus has been getting plenty of love recently thanks to the trend that has seen the likes of Victoria Beckham, Joe Jonas, Demi Lovato, Paris Hilton, and Cheech and Chong also joining in and sharing old photos.
