Sarah Paulson Joins 'American Horror Story' Cast

Ryan Murphy’s new FX horror series, American Horror Story, keeps looking better and better. And gayer as actress Sarah Paulson, who's already appearing on Desperate Housewives this season opposite Felicity Huffman as Lynette's sister, joins the already A-list cast of Horror Story. Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton, star as the Harmon’s, the owners of the eerily haunted Los Angeles house at the center of the series. When spooky things start to occur, the family looks to Paulson's character to connect them to the other side.

E! Online reports,

A reliable AHS source tells us that Paulson, who also played the nasty governess in Deadwood, is joining the show for a big four-episode arc as a medium named Billie Dean. Sounds like someone enlists Billie's help to chat with the spirits roaming around that spooky house. But we don't think it's Vivien (Connie Britton) who wants her help.

Most of her scenes will be opposite her Broadway buddy Jessica Lange (they starred together in The Glass Menagerie). Paulson and the sure-to-be Emmy-nominated Lange together on your TV screen? It's like a perfect storm of acting awesomeness.

FX’s very adult American Horror Story had our attention as soon as we heard it was coming from Murphy and fellow Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk. With the addition of the talented Paulson, plus the great Jessica Lange, TV royalty leads, McDermott and Britton, and the chillingly spooky promo (see below), we can’t wait for the October debut.

American Horror Story gets it’s chilling premiere October 5, on FX.

In the mean time, check out all the puzzling clues available on their official YouTube now.
